Ascribe to the  Lord Glory

A Psalm of David.

Ascribe to the  Lord, O heavenly beings,
Hebrew sons of God, or sons of might

b ascribe to the  Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the  Lord the glory due his name;
worship the  Lord in c the splendor of holiness.
Or  in holy attire

The voice of the  Lord is over e the waters;
the God of glory f thunders,
the  Lord, over many waters.
The voice of the  Lord is g powerful;
the voice of the  Lord is full of majesty.
The voice of the  Lord breaks the cedars;
the  Lord breaks h the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes Lebanon to i skip like a calf,
and j Sirion like a young k wild ox.
The voice of the  Lord flashes forth flames of fire.
The voice of the  Lord shakes the wilderness;
the  Lord shakes the wilderness of l Kadesh.
The voice of the  Lord makes m the deer give birth
Revocalization yields  makes the oaks to shake

and strips the forests bare,
and in his temple all cry, “Glory!”
10  The  Lord sits enthroned over o the flood;
the  Lord sits enthroned p as king forever.
11 May the  Lord give q strength to his people!
May the  Lord bless
Or The  Lord will give . . . The  Lord will bless
his people with s peace!
